About climbing
Test your climbing skills on 1 of the 5 courses, each with its own level of difficulty. The length of the routes ranges from 110 to 200 metres and the height of the routes varies from 2 to 10 metres in the air. Klimrijk Brabant's climbing courses are built without damaging trees or the surrounding area. We therefore proudly bear the well-deserved title of 'ecological climbing forest'!

Is there staff walking around for the sight of climbers?
Yes, there is always someone present in the climbing park. There are both instructors and "rescuers" walking around the climbing park. Where necessary, the instructors coach the participants. In case someone really doesn't dare to go any further, a rescuer will go up to help this participant. In extreme cases the rescuer will lower the participant with a rope.
I have reservations for climbing, but today it's going to rain all day. Will the climbing go on as usual?
Yes, in case of rain, climbing will go on as usual. If there is lightning or thunder, we will take people out of the trees and wait until the storm blows over. There is also the possibility to reschedule to another date free of charge.
How does the safety system of Klimrijk Brabant work?
The safety of our guests is of the utmost importance. That is why we have chosen a 'saferoller system'. This is a continuous securing system. The participant is 'pushed' at the beginning of a course and the saferoller can only be released when the participant is back on the ground at the end of the course.
Can I watch the climbing course without a ticket?
Yes, this is possible! If you are not participating in a climbing activity, you do not need to order a ticket.
Should we wear gloves while climbing or can we rent gloves for climbing?
No, it is not necessary to wear gloves. Do you prefer to climb with gloves? Then we advise you to bring your own gloves. Klimrijk Brabant does not rent or sell gloves. More advice and instructions can be read here.
What clothing is best to wear while climbing?
It is mandatory to wear closed shoes (no crocs, clogs, slippers or sandals). Sporty easy-fitting clothing is best. Because of the climbing harnesses, it is advised to wear pants that reach at least to the knee so that the skin of the upper thighs remains covered. Long hair should be in a ponytail or bun. Jewelry must come off, think earrings (buttons not), rings, necklaces, bracelets and watches. More advice and instructions can be read here.
In terms of height, are the courses different for children and adults? After all, my child does not dare to go alone.
The large courses are 2 to 10 meters high for adults and children from 1.30 meters. The big courses consist of five different routes: courses 1 and 2 are the easier ones, courses 3 and 4 the more difficult ones and course 5 is the fun route, with two long ziplines of almost 100 meters each. Routes 6, 7 and 8 belong to the Pico course and are intended for children from 4 years of age up to 1.30 meters. These routes are lower than the main course, and parents can walk alongside the course to keep easy contact with their children.
Is everyone allowed to climb?
Climbing in Klimrijk Brabant is possible from the age of 4. For the little adventurers there is the Pico course from 4 years up to 1.30 meters. From a height of 1.30 meter you can participate in the five big courses. You must not weigh more than 120 kilograms. You must be in good physical condition and you must not be pregnant.
