Yes, you need a motorcycle (A), car (B) or moped (AM) licence to operate an e-chopper. In addition, you must be at least 16 years old.

As of January 1, 2023, wearing a (bicycle) helmet is mandatory.

The maximum speed of an e-chopper is 25 km per hour.

No, only 1 person can be on a rented e-chopper at a time. So you are not allowed to take a child along as a passenger.

You are allowed to operate an e-chopper as soon as you have a motorcycle (A), car (B) or moped (AM) licence.

You can hire e-choppers from us for groups of up to 5 people.

You can ride an e-chopper on bicycle paths and on the part of the road where bicycles are allowed. For e-choppers the same rules and regulations apply as for bicycles. You are not allowed to ride on the pedestrian pavement. You are not allowed to operate this type of vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

In case of rain we will coordinate with you to see if the activity can be postponed. We always find a solution together!

Please make sure to bring your driving licence with you. We are not allowed to let you hire an e-chopper without it.

Either way is fine! In any case, we have put together two routes that are easy to follow with your own phone (there is a phone holder on the handlebars). These routes pass by pavement cafés and various attractions in the Veldhoven area. You are also free to come up with your own route. 

Yes and no. If you wish to hire an e-chopper then you are free to go and cruise where you want. This is fine just so long as you are back on time (maximum 3 hours or 45 km).

But we have also created several routes that are ideal for seeing the beautiful scenery in and around Veldhoven. These give you plenty of variety – riding along the water, enjoying views, going through woods and passing by tourist attractions. We will give you a booklet containing the different routes. You can follow these by scanning a QR code with your phone. You will need to download the Google Maps app if you don't have it already.

One of the benefits of our e-choppers is that they all have a phone holder and a USB port. So you can enter the route into your smartphone and then put the phone in the holder so that your hands are free for steering. Both safe and convenient!

The e-chopper rental is for 3 hours.

If this happens, contact us right away using the number in the booklet that is included in the e-chopper rental and we will rush to the rescue. We will give you a replacement so that you can continue on your way as quickly as possible.

• Wear glasses or sunglasses when riding the chopper.

• Bring a backpack or satchel.

• A skirt/miniskirt is not suitable for riding an e-chopper.

• Do not forget your driving licence if you wish to hire an e-chopper because we are strict about checking this!

• In summertime it is a good idea to bring sunglasses and sunscreen.

• Dress appropriately in colder weather. Gloves are not just for looks.

• Is there rain in the forecast? Then pack a rain poncho.

• Stay on the bicycle paths and do not go off-road.

• Caution is advised when riding. Be sure to bring the chopper back in the same condition you received it in; we won't be happy if there is damage and neither will you. We have compiled a price list with the replacement cost for every component, so you know what to expect if you get into an accident.

• We recommend that you take your time to enjoy the ride. If you follow one of the routes we have designed then you will have plenty of time to stop along the way to get a bite to eat or some refreshments, to do some sunbathing or take some photos. Do not forget to lock the choppers before leaving them.

• Please follow the traffic rules. They exist for a reason.

• Alcohol and drug use is not permitted during your e-chopper rental.

• If you find yourself stuck and unable to continue your ride, contact us as soon as possible and we will come help you.
